Ichi is an online card game that was inspired by Uno. You can play with others online by sending them a room code, play with bots, or both at the same time. There is no sign up, no download, and no ads. I wanted to create an interactive project with HTMX and see how simple it could be. Ultimately, I did not find many tradeoffs for using HTMX as opposed to a web framework like Next.js. I am pleased with it, and I will likely use it again in the future.
About me
My interest in computers and programming started at the age of 10. I wanted to know how video games were made and how I could make them too. While searching, I learned about programming languages and all the things you could do with them. There seemed to be no limit to the possibilities, and this excited me. Beyond video games, you could take any data and do whatever you want with it. You could build tools to make life easier, websites, anything you put your mind to. It felt powerful. Ever since that day, I have been hooked.
I'm happiest when I'm learning something new, and I am interested in a large variety of nerdy topics. From programming concepts to outer space, photography, aerospace and mechanical engineering, different cultures, and much more. I'm also an avid sci-fi and music consumer.
